The Dream

Leo Consulting Inc. began with the belief that that business, all business, can be done in a better way. The teachings of Indigenous Communities, including principles, protocols, and worldviews, add incredible value and guidance in the modern business context leading to long term wellness and profitability, for all.

The vision of Leo Consulting has always been a world where all communities maximize their potential as healthy and inspired peoples. We envision a world where diversity is celebrated, and communities support one another to flourish.

The Beginning

We began with a mission to create community wellness impacts through helping organizations create a strong economy, backed by strong governance.

This included designing and implementing all the tools and processes commonly used in business and administration to create more positive impacts, with less risk.

Today

Now, we deliver transformational results, through a group of companies, with the application of novel tools and processes that we have developed throughout our experience.

We offer time tested solutions and services that have been informed by working with a multiplicity of First Nations, Businesses and multiple levels of Government.

Our Evolution

Documenting Incremental Change

We began by helping First Nations re-design and re-fit all the tools and processes commonly used in business and administration to meet their organizational and community needs. Over time and through working within and across many different cultures, Leo Consulting Inc. began to systematize processes, practices and protocols that are operational in Indigenous community development.

Interim Management and Change Management

Leo Consulting Inc. began to offer interim-management services to Nations on a temporary basis for executive level positions. Leo Consulting also began working with First Nations on economic and institutional growth though professional and institutional development projects, land use planning and development, economic and business development and operations, and organizational renewal (major change management) projects.

Governance and Strategy Advising

Leo Consulting Inc. began specializing in governance training and strategic planning, building off our years of experience as business executives, band administrators, and the tools and systems we developed over these years.

Novel Tools and Processes

The result is a new strategic framework that is focused on ensuring long lasting relationships that honour each First Nation’s unique protocols, rights and visions of community wellness. This framework can be used by First Nation administrations and businesses, governmental organizations and non-indigenous organizations to strategically manage their relationships with First Nations communities to lead to community wellness for all.

Intra-Cultural Protocol: UNDRIP + TRC

We assist organizations to strategically manage their operations within and across diverse cultural groups, enabling organizations to live up to the United Nations Declaration on the Right of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), the Truth and Reconciliation Council (TRC) recommendations, and achieve transformational and enduring results.

Leo Consulting Online

In 2020, we will be launching our online platform. Digital service delivery will allow us to ensure our transformational resources are accessible, affordable, impactful and continually available.

Through this portal, First Nations governments, businesses and community organizations are able to immediately access us, our resources, tools, services and workshops. Access our services anywhere, at anytime.

This platform will enable us to continue growing our reach and impact and begin working with clients world-wide, of any size and with any budget.

In 2019, Leo Consulting Inc. acquired Exclusive Landscape and Bobcat Service and became a group of companies. With a decade long track record for delivering high quality custom landscaping services in the central island region, we will grow ELI into a full-service construction company.

Chummus Farms & Snack Food Co.

In 2019 Leo Consulting Inc. acquired 37 acres, in central Vancouver Island, where we are beginning to grow and manufacture alternative and healthy grab-and-go consumer snacks. We realized the need for this after spending years on the road working on community wellness projects unable to find healthy road snacks.

Mass Timber Homes + Community Development

In 2019, Leo Consulting Inc. began working with a group of leading industry experts to create a revolutionary community development infrastructure product for First Nations communities.

This solution is the most cost effective, sustainable, and healthy housing solution that also meets the scale of on-reserve housing needs across Canada.
