Long-term strategic planning is a necessary step to create annual budgets, receive and report on funding through Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) or First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and to lay the foundations for Community Wellness

  4. Priorities and risk awareness that can be filtered down into departmental priorities, action plans, and budgets.


Key Deliverables

  1. 2-day workshop with Leadership and Senior Staff on Strategic Planning.

  2. 1-day workshop with Leadership and Senior Staff on Governance, Fiduciary Duty & Political Skills.

  3. Revised Strategic Plan, including outcome-based logic model and indicators.

  4. Engagement Plan for the First Nation's Membership.

Strategic Plan and Continued Support

  1. Prepare an updated Strategic Plan including prioritized activities, outcomes report, logic model and departmental priorities, and a high-level engagement plan for membership communications,

  2. Meet with Chief and Council to review report, activity prioritization, engagement plan, and recommendations,

  3. Provide ongoing implementation support directly to Chief Administrative Officer

  4. Complete a 6-month Implementation Review with Chief Administrative Officer and Present to Chief and Council (optional)

  5. Annual Review (optional)
